The Henry County Board of Commissioners held a Called Public Workshop at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 2009, in the Conference Room at the Mountain Creek Conference Room, Pine Mountain, Georgia. Notice of this meeting was posted in the entrance foyer of the County Administration Building. The Daily Herald was notified of this meeting. Those present were:

Warren E. Holder, District I Commissioner

Rick Jeffares, District II Commissioner

            Randy Stamey, District III Commissioner

Johnny B. Basler, District V Commissioner

Also attending were Shay Mathis, County Clerk; LaTonya Nix-Wiley, County Attorney; Rob Magnaghi, County Manager; Michael Harris, Planning & Zoning Services Division Director; and others.

Chairman Mathis called the meeting to order and called for an acceptance of the agenda.  Commissioner Holder made the motion to approve the agenda; Commissioner Bowman seconded.  The motion carried unanimously.

Discussion regarding the Proposed Future Land Use Map

            Staff gave the Board an overview of the plan and the process that has taken place.  Staff showed the Board modifications that have taken place since the original plan that was submitted to the Atlanta Regional Committee and the plan that is currently proposed.  A presentation was given that outlined the changes and modifications to the map. 

            Mr. Jim Summerville, Consultant with JJ&G was present for the workshop and gave the Board a brief overview of the process and how we got to where we are currently.


            Commissioner Jeffares made the motion to adjourn; Commissioner Stamey seconded.  The motion carried unanimously.
