B. Public Hearings: License to sell alcoholic beverages

1. James W. Kim, owner of Yuki Japanese Restaurant to be build at 35
Mill Road, McDonough, GA is requesting a license to sell alcoholic
beverages (Presenter: Dottie Green, Business License) (Exhibit # 7)

 

2. Publix Supermarket - Michael Shannon, Manager of Publix grocery store to be built at 2730 Highway 155 South in Locust Grove, GA applied for a license to sell package beer and wine from this location (Presenter: Dottie Green, Business License) (Exhibit # 8)

3. Richard Bell, owner of Fuelsource Markets LLC (convenience store)
to be built at 1150 Jodeco Rd., Stockbridge, GA has applied for a
license to sell package beer and wine from this location (Presenter:
Dottie Green, Business License)(Exhibit # 9)

C. Request approval of resolution to amend the services agreement with
Arcadis to include services related to the Stormwater Credit Policy
(Presenter: Jim Luebbering, Stormwater Director) (Exhibit #10)

 

D. Rezoning (s):

1. Eugene & Jeanette Laabs - RZ-06-25; Commissioner Stamey,
District 3 (Presenter: Cheri Hobson-Matthews, Assistant Director)
(Exhibit # 11)

Eugene & Jeanette Laabs of McDonough, GA requests a rezoning
from RA (Residential Agricultural) to C-3 (Heavy Commercial)
for property located on Highway 155, west of Crumbley Road and
southeast of Jones Road. The property is located in Land Lot 7 of
the 7th District, consisting of 8.218+/- acres. The request is for a
commercial office and retail development. The Zoning Advisory
Board recommended APPROVAL of C-1 and O/I with conditions
on July 13, 2006

2. Venus Enterprises, Inc. of Atlanta, GA - RZ-06-26; Commissioner
Mathis, District 2 (Presenter: Ray Gibson, Director) (Exhibit # 12)

Venus Enterprises, Inc. of Atlanta, GA requests a rezoning from C-
2 (General Commercial) to C-3 (Heavy Commercial) for property
located on Liberty Industrial Blvd. The property is located in Land
Lot 221 of the 7th District, consisting of 4.06 +/- acres. The
request is for the development of a hotel. The Zoning Advisory
Board recommended APPROVAL on July 13, 2006

 

 

 

3. Eagle's Landing Family Practice - RZ-06-28; Commissioner
Holder, District 1 (Presenter Cheri Hobson-Matthews, Assistant
Director) (Exhibit # 13)

Eagle's Landing Family Practice of McDonough, GA requests a
rezoning from RA (Residential Agricultural) to C-2 (General
Commercial) for property located southeast of the intersection of Old
Jackson Road and Highway 81. The property is located in Land Lot
171 of the 7th District, consisting of 7.50 +/- acres. The request is
for the development of a professional office, medical facility and
retail center. The Zoning Advisory Board recommended
APPROVAL of C-2 with conditions on July 13, 2006
