A. Public Hearing regarding the partial abandonment of three public roads
known as, Lester Mill Road, Greenwood Road and Bethlehem Road

VII. Appeal to a denial by the Zoning Advisory Board:

A. Griffinite Partners, LLC of Hampton, GA - CU-06-11; Commissioner
Mathis, District 2 (Presenter: Ray Gibson, Director) (Exhibit # 13)

Griffinite Partners, LLC of Hampton, GA requests a conditional use for
property located on the northeasteern side of the Strickland and
Hampton-Locust Grove Roads intersection. The property is located in
Land Lot 242 of the 3rd District, consisting of 4.287 +/- acres. The
request is for a daycare/preschool facility. The request was denied by the
Zoning Advisory Board on July 27, 2006. The applicant filed an appeal
with the Henry County Planning and Zoning Department on August 14,
2006.

Mathis, District 2 (Presenter Ray Gibson, Director) (Exhibit # 14)

Adair & Charles Dickerson of Jackson, GA requests a rezoning from
RA (Residential Agricultural) to OI (Office/Institutional) for property
located on the northern side of Jodeco Road, west of Windhaven Drive.
The property is located in Land Lot 43 of the 6th District, consisting of
1.99 +/- acres. The request is for the development of an office building.
The Zoning Advisory Board recommended DENIAL August 10, 2006.

B. Stacey M. Richardson of Hampton, GA - RZ-06-27; Commissioner
Mathis, District 2 (Presenter: Cheri Hobson-Matthews, Assistant
Director) (Exhibit # 15)

Stacey M. Richardson of Hampton, GA requests a rezoning fron RA
(Residential Agricultural) to OI (Office/Institutional for property located
at 1826 Chambers Road. The property is located in Land Lot 109 of the
6th District, consisting of 7.55 +/- acres. The request is for the
development of a daycare and medical offices. The Zoning Advisory
Board recommended DENIAL, July 13, 2006.
