     Notice of Amendment to Official Zoning Map of Henry County

A.     Notice is hereby given as required by Section 3-7-314 of Henry County, Georgia Code of Ordinances, that the County will conduct a Public Hearing for the purpose of approving a resolution to adopt a new Official Zoning Map, according to Sec. 3-7-33, to correct drafting or other map errors or omissions in the prior official zoning map.  The proposed corrections shall not have the effect of amending the original official zoning map, but only making corrections to errors which have been identified by the County.  The corrected copy of the Official Zoning Map will supersede and replace the current Official Zoning Map adopted March 19, 2007.  Please contact the Henry County Planning and Zoning Department at (770) 288-7526 for further information (Presenter:  Stacey Jordan, Planner II) (Exhibit #16 )

B.     Lovejoy Meadows, LLC of Lovejoy, GA ; RZ-04-36; Commissioner Mathis, District 2, (Presenter:  Patrick Jaugstetter, County Attorney) (Exhibit #17 )

Lovejoy Meadows, LLC of Lovejoy, GA requests a rezoning from RA (Residential Agricultural) to R-2 (Single-Family Residence) for property located at 28 Lovejoy Road, in Land Lot 188 of the 6th District.  The property consists of 24.25+/- acres, and the request is for a residential conservation subdivision.  This request was originally denied by the BOC on February 15, 2005 and is being brought back as a Consent order.

CONDITIONAL USE:

Lovejoy Meadows, LLC of Lovejoy, GA requests a conditional use permit for property located at 28 Lovejoy Road.  The property is located in Land Lot 188 of the 6th District, consisting of 24.25+/- acres.  The request is for a residential conservation subdivision.

Lovejoy Meadows, LLC of Lovejoy, requests a variance for a proposed residential conservation subdivision to be located at 28 Lovejoy Road.  The property is located in Land Lot 188 of the 6th District, consisting of 24.25+/- acres.  The request is to reduce required open space.

A.     Annexation by the City of McDonough of approximately 91.44+/- acres, located on Turner Church Rd. @ SR 155, also known as Wade Farms Commons. The current zoning of the property within the County is RA Residential Agricultural).  The proposed zoning per annexation is R-75* (*Note: overall single family residential detached lot count has been reduced from 165 to 154) and C-1 with variance(s).  (Handout #1)
